Eric Aboussouan is a pioneering researcher in the field of medical microrobotics, with a primary focus on the magnetic navigation of untethered devices inside the human body. His most influential work, published in 2007, demonstrated the first-ever *in vivo* navigation of a ferromagnetic bead through the carotid artery of a living swine using a conventional clinical MRI system.
