Alan H. Menkis is a pioneering cardiac surgeon whose career has been defined by his groundbreaking contributions to robotic and minimally invasive cardiac surgery. Based at London Health Sciences Centre, University of Western Ontario, Menkis was among the earliest adopters of robotic surgical technology in Canada, launching one of the country's first robot-assisted cardiac surgery programs in September 1998.
