Takahisa Fujikawa is a surgical innovator whose work centers on advancing robotic liver resection (RLR) and minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgery. His most significant contributions lie in developing novel parenchymal transection techniques that address one of robotic hepatic surgery's greatest technical challenges. Fujikawa pioneered the Saline-Linked Cautery Scissors (SLiC-Scissors) method and the saline-linked bipolar clamp-crush technique, both designed to minimize tissue adhesion and improve hemostasis during robotic liver surgery — work that has collectively garnered over 30 citations since 2022.
