Abstract
This paper proposes a monitoring and remote control system for supporting elderly people. First, we introduce robot partner, remote control system for home appliances, and sensor networks for human localization. Next, we apply a spiking neural network to extract a person from the measured data by the sensor network. Finally, we discuss the effectiveness of the proposed methods through experimental results in a living room.
