Abstract

Robotic Microcarriers In article number 2204257, Oliver G. Schmidt, Mariana Medina-Sánchez, and co-workers report the development of 4D-printed multifunctional sperm-hybrid microcarriers containing soft and smart materials made with two-photon lithography. These multifunctional facets enable in situ sperm capacitation/hyperactivation, and the local degradation of the cumulus complex that surrounds the oocyte, both to facilitate the sperm–oocyte interaction for the ultimate goal of in vivo assisted fertilization.
