Abstract

In Industry 4.0, the image based product sorting plays a vital role in all the industries. The quality of sorting depends on the quality of vision camera used in the system and the environment factors. 2D vision camera based sorting developed with VS70 series vision cam modules and MELFA RV-2FB-Q-S11 series industrial robotic arm. 2D vision cam is mounted over the gripper or tool of the robotic arm and the captured product images are analyzed by the In-Sight Explorer software. RT tool box 3 software is used for the movement of all six axes in the industrial robot in ordered to pick and place the sorted product on the destination point. The Mitsubishi robotic controller CR750-Q and Robot CPU Q172DR are used to develop the complete image based auto sorting system. Pneumonic are developed in the tool box 3 software environment for comparing the images and movements of the axes. The quality of the captured images is analyzed in the In-Sight Explorer software environment.
