Abstract
Recent years have witnessed the rapid advance in various communication technologies which have led to unprecedented applications in the field of remote robot control, particularly in enhancing the realism and efficiency of human-robot interaction. A technology breakthrough, titled as Internet of Things (IoT), has further propelled advancements in this field, leading to widespread adoption across commerce, manufacturing, healthcare, and domestic services. To achieve long-distance control of mobile robots beyond local networks and under complex or harsh conditions, this essay presents a remote-control system for mobile robots based on an IoT platform. The system uses 4G communication technology to provide network connectivity for the mobile robot and integrates a network PTZ camera, it enables interaction between users and the environment in which the mobile robot operates. Additionally, a software application was developed to visualize all functions, creating a comprehensive system that spans from the application side to the cloud platform and then to the device side.
