Abstract
Control issues of multiple robot systems in tracking flexible objects are studied. To simplify the exposition of this very complicated matter, a flexible long beam is considered instead of flexible bodies in a general form. After some mechanical properties of the object are established, a hierarchical control law is suggested.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
