Abstract
The paper states that SLAM is a type of algorithm that, when used in a mobile robotic entity, determines where it is in relation to its environment through a mapping algorithm. The mobile robot has SLAM for room mapping and infrared sensors to find the charging base and detect “cliff” conditions.
