Abstract
This article introduces robot Karel programming as an assisted teaching method in program design courses. Robot Karel reduces the threshold of programming to enhance the degree of interest in the course. It allows students to get rid of the complexity of Program language learning, focusing on programming ideas. In teaching, this method has achieved good results through writing a program to solve the problem of Karel, so that the idea of programming can be understood, and C language program teaching can be achieved with high efficiency and high quality provided that the amount of hours needed are definite. Students are able to produce much better design work at the end of the school year.
