Abstract

As the world is trending into new technologies, it is a necessary goal to trend up with the grass cutting also. The present model of lawn mower uses IC (Internal Combustion) engine. The IC engine emits the hazardous gases (CO<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf>), and thus increases air pollution. The cutter powered by an IC engine is more expensive as compared to the proposed model. The price of the fuel and the cost of maintaining such a traditional machine is higher. To eliminate these disadvantages, a new form of grass cutter which is economically feasible compared to the previous one with the less maintenance cost is made. Grass cutting machines are becoming popular these days. The project's goal is to create a grass cutter that runs on a battery source, and hence reduces involvement of human being. The robot is equipped with the obstacle detection mechanism. The IR sensors on the either side helps the device to move right and left side. Grass cutters runs by itself, therefore they do not require an operator.
