Using Drones in Teaching Computer Science

Abstract

More and more teachers from primary and secondary schools are using some type robots, microcontrollers, or some new tools for teaching programming. Thanks to the lower prices of these robotic building blocks and aids, students are better prepared for their future profession. We used four types of drones in the teaching process in primary school and in the extracurricular activity at the Matej Bel University for teaching programming. The contribution deals with describing our experience of using drones in the educational process. In this paper, we introduced a methodic focus on using drones in the educational process.
