Abstract
The new ISO TS 15066 includes guidelines for implementing various forms of safe collaboration for industrial robots. Translating these guidelines into concepts for different safe collaboration use cases is a major challenge for integrators. In this paper we introduce a simulation framework allowing quick setup of different safety use cases and supporting the impact analysis for various safety design choice. The goal is to support decision making when designing, verifying and deploying safe collaborative systems with versatile and powerful tools. We put special emphasis on speed and separation monitoring methods.
