Abstract
• Duplication of the classic open simple prostatectomy by direct transvesical access to the prostate adenoma. • Surgery in supine position. • A single 3 cm midline incision for transvesical access, total extraperitoneal surgery without the need for bivalving the bladder. • An alternative for minimally invasive surgical management of patients with large prostate adenoma. • Associated bladder conditions (e.g. bladder stone or diverticulum) can simultaneously be addressed.
