Vision system for humanoid robot-toward emotional man-machine-environment interaction

Abstract

The Humanoid Project which the authors are engaged in is introduced with the recent results on the image processing technology for robot. Topics include a multimedia sensing system to track a speaking person using both image and sound processing and a model-based vision system to recognize the self position in the known environment.
