Abstract

The successful use of precision farming technology for automated data acquisition, sitespecific farming, fleet management and field robots makes it necessary to have a detailed knowledgeon the quality of all utilized equipment. To get knowledge on this quality is the aim of the presentedinvestigation. Key technologies such as the positioning system or the standardized buscommunication are the main subjects. The delays and errors of these systems and their varianceallow to point out limiting factors and formulate general design rules for future precision farmingdevelopments.
