Abstract
A lightweight octocopter drone for monitoring indoor environment is developed. The robot is designed with the weight of 486g, 308mm in width and 160mm in height so that it can get through narrow spaces under complex indoor environment. In addition, the drone is designed with 8 blades, and this octocopter is controlled by PID method. The high-flying ability is proven by hovering experiments.
