Abstract
Autonomous defense systems powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning offer a critical solution to mitigate these risks. These systems monitor network traffic, detect anomalies in real time, and autonomously respond to potential threats without human intervention. This chapter examines the unique cybersecurity challenges associated with surgical robots, such as securing command-and-control systems, preventing remote hijacking, and ensuring the integrity of real-time data transmission. It also highlights successful implementations of AI-driven cybersecurity in healthcare, discussing how autonomous defense systems can safeguard surgical outcomes, protect patient data, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. By integrating advanced cybersecurity solutions, healthcare organizations can enhance the resilience and safety of robotic-assisted surgical procedures.
