Abstract
This paper explains how to use a signal-processing algorithm, fuzzy logic based, in order to accurately estimate a 2D position thanks to a single inertial sensor: a dual-axis accelerometer. This kind of low cost system is adequate for toys or home robots. Experimental results show the efficiency of this algorithm computed in real time in an AT91SAM7S256 microcontroller.
