Abstract
The purpose of project is to study the effect of the eye movement activity using electrooculography technique which are open, close and blinking the eye as well as reading activity. The electrooculography is a technique that measured the corneo-retinal standing potential between front and back of the human eye. This resulting signal is called the electrooculogram (EOG). In order to collect the eye signal, the circuit is developed by Arduino Olimexino 328 circuit. The circuit is interfaced between Arduino and MATLAB software. Then, the Ag/AgCl electrodes are used to detect the EOG signal by placing the electrodes near the face. The signals are recorded and analysed based on four activities of eye movement. In this project, there are 5 subjects involve which are 2 males and 3 females. The results from these activities can be differentiated between the others signals such as upward, downward, rightward and leftward. These EOG signals can be used as a communication tools between human and machine such as wheelchair robot and rehabilitation purposes by developing the algorithm.
