Abstract
Limiting global warming to 1.5°C is a daunting task that requires the involvement of the global population and in particular of the populationoftherichestcountrieswiththehighestcarbonfootprint per capita. Changing behavior is a difficult task, but tools such as chatbots can be useful to help change habits and raise awareness of one’s impact on the environment. In this paper, we discuss previous work related to behavior change from the point of view of cognitive psychology and with the use of chatbots, before suggesting a design for a chatbot aimed at reducing one’s carbon footprint.
