Heron AM

Overview

Caracol's Heron AM is a robotic turnkey large-format additive manufacturing (LFAM) platform for composite pellet extrusion. It integrates hardware, software and automation to maximize flexibility, process control and performance. The modular system works on more than 6 axes, enabling production of thermoplastic composite parts with complex geometries and no scale or shape limits. It uses KUKA six-axis robotic arms and offers a dedicated automation and control suite for custom configurations. The platform is designed for high productivity, minimizing risks and downtimes, and is suitable for tooling, prototypes, metal replacement, and structural parts.
