3D Bar
by Caracol
Overview
The 3D Bar is the first fully robotic 3D printed bar installation, created by Caracol in collaboration with Flo and Lavazza for Milan Design Week 2019 and Dutch Design Week. It was produced using Caracol's LFAM robotic system, which transforms industrial robots into high-speed, large-format 3D printers. The bar is made from recycled PLA and natural fibers, using plastic waste from coffee capsules and industrial processes. The project demonstrates circular economy principles, sustainable production, and design freedom through generative design.
