摘要
To improve motor function and cognitive abilities in individuals with neurological disorders, it is essential to develop innovative solutions that not only enhance current patient care practices but also reduce the burden on caregivers. The NAO humanoid robot, which has demonstrated significant potential in this area, has been specifically programmed to facilitate adaptive, personalized, and responsive rehabilitation therapy sessions. These sessions are delivered in a gamified manner, effectively engaging users and encouraging active participation. By utilizing advanced human pose estimation, the robot provides real-time feedback, guiding users through exercises of varying difficulty levels. The results of these interventions suggest that the NAO robot can play a vital role in the care of individuals with neurocognitive disorders. It has the potential to significantly enhance traditional therapy methods by offering consistent, personalized, and engaging rehabilitation sessions. This approach not only improves the quality of therapy but also makes it more accessible to patients, ensuring that they receive the necessary support to improve their motor function and cognitive health. Through these advancements, the NAO robot is poised to transform the landscape of neurocognitive disorder care, offering a promising complement to existing therapeutic practices.
