摘要

Manufacturing organizations encounter significant technological, organizational, and managerial challenges due to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The emergence of Industry 4.0, characterized by the effective utilization of robots in manufacturing, has begun to reshape everyday life, production processes, and work dynamics. However, there remains a dearth of research regarding the potential impacts of Industry 4.0 on labor markets, manufacturing sectors, and energy consumption in Africa. Anticipated consequences include technological unemployment, altering workforce dynamics, and introducing new structural issues in employment and labor relations. This study aims to investigate the potential effects of Industry 4.0 and assess Africa's current preparedness. Employing a qualitative case study design, the authors conducted semi-structured interviews with industry practitioners to analyze the impacts of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Africa. Additionally, a thorough review of existing literature was undertaken to enhance the validity and reliability of the findings.
