摘要

The coal mining sector's hazardous conditions necessitate robust safety measures. IoT technology revolutionizes safety protocols by enabling gas, fire detection, temperature, humidity detection, and swift emergency responses. The work demonstrates a model prototype that collects the data from environmental changes through sensors and stores the values in the cloud. The controller can examine and take necessary actions. The prototype can be controlled by using an APP on mobile. LoRaWAN gateways ensure seamless sensor data transmission to central control, integrating with Thing Speak for real-time analysis and visualization. The system uses Arduino UNO at the transmitter end and ESP8266 at the receiver end and promptly alerts unsafe conditions and triggers automated shutdowns and evacuations during emergencies. Notably, sensors on a mobile-controlled robotic platform, facilitated by Bluetooth, offer dynamic protection, unlike static setups prone to damage during explosions. This paper addresses a comprehensive approach that enhances safety, minimizes downtime, fosters communication, and addresses privacy concerns in coal mining operations.
