摘要

IoT-enabled smart industrial projects are spreading around the globe. Using huge amounts of real-time data, it is possible to monitor, manage, and control equipment from a distance, and to derive new insights and actionable information from this data. High levels of information technology integration and extensive use of information resources are two trademarks of a smart industry. In the context of Industry 4.0, augmented reality (AR) is one of the most promising technologies for technical manuals. However, the application of AR documentation in business is still difficult since there are no established standards or rules. A developing field of interactive design is augmented reality, in which virtual material is seamlessly blended with displays of real-world surroundings. The tremendous potential of AR has begun to be explored with the emergence of personal mobile devices capable of constructing engaging augmented reality settings. Cloud computing, the Internet of Things, wireless communication, and other new technologies are already prevalent in our lives. This study sheds light on one of the newest industrial paradigms, Industry 4.0’s augmented reality (AR) (I4.0). We hope this research will help determine the future of AR by analyzing how it might be utilized in various industries, including what kinds of AR devices are used and how they are tracked. There are a lot of publications to choose from after searching Science Direct, Google Scholar, and the Internet in general. The data gleaned from analyzing the works under consideration is organized into many categories for the purposes of this work. AR may be used in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, maintenance, and human-robot collaboration, according to a thorough review of the literature. Finally, a roadmap for the use of AR in companies is given and the most interesting research topics are identified.
