摘要

Graphical simulation facilities foster the design of efficient robot motions and do not tie up or risk expensive equipment. For a similar reason, graphical simulation is recommended for university laboratory classes in robotics. This study concerns the application of computer graphics for teaching robot kinematics. A description of the problems faced by students studying robot kinematics is presented. The educational program package SIM-KIN, developed to assist beginning students in robotics to understand elementary robot kinematics is described.
