The application of double arms SCARA robot for deburring of PCB support plate

摘要
Current manufacturing processes use robots for obtaining higher accuracy, higher precision, and fast response in the process. Deburring is one of important processes in metal forming processes. This research is aimed to design double arms SCARA robot for deburring process. The robot motion analysis used SolidWorks Motion Analysis in order to obtain the rotational angles of motors of the robot arms. In the motion analysis, two robot arms have identical rotational angles. They can also work parallel to each other as prescribed by users. The rotational angles were used to control the robot movement by using teach pendant method. The result shown that robot can be deburred two of the 10 holes of PCB board within 60 second and reduced manufacturing time, which is 2 times of work of human workforce.
