摘要
There are a variety of modes of communication between humans and robots which are greatly influenced by the level of interaction and closeness between them. Human Robotic Interface (HRI) is an essential research field that is dedicated to understanding, evaluating and designing robotic systems that interact with humans. This work aims to develop one of that kind of user interaction to control a wheeled robot. The study focuses on developing a prototype robotic car that utilizes Human Robot Interaction technique where the user provides control commands using the built-in accelerometers of Android phones. These built in accelerometers are suitably tapped using the MIT inventor App and by sensing the orientation changes the robot’s motion is controlled. The MIT Inventor app, a user-friendly application facilitates this process by interacting with an Arduino microcontroller.
