摘要
A lot of studies have been conducted with respect to the swimming motion of fishes, and experimented on the robotic fishes by many organizations. In this study, the flow field around a fish-like body with two undulating side fins is computed by CFD technique. The feature of flow field and hydrodynamic forces acting on the body and fin is discussed based on the computed results. The pressure is acting as thrusting force on fins, the frictional force is acting as resistance on a plate body. The thrust and power coefficients are calculated using time-mean values of thrust and power on the fin. The propulsive efficiency is also discussed. These results are good information for understanding the complex fluid mechanics that a kind of fishes uses to propel itself.
