Wataru Soneda is a surgical oncologist whose research focuses on advancing minimally invasive techniques for esophageal and gastric cancers. His major contributions lie in comparing the short-term outcomes of robot-assisted minimally invasive esophagectomy (RAMIE) with thoracoscopic and transthoracic approaches.
