About

Vladimir Chazov is a pioneering astrophysicist whose work centers on time-domain astronomy, gravitational-wave follow-up, and robotic optical surveys. As the driving force behind the MASTER Global Robotic Net, he has revolutionized the rapid detection and characterization of transient cosmic events. His most impactful contribution came in 2017, when MASTER obtained the first optical image of the neutron star merger GW170817 (227 citations), providing critical electromagnetic confirmation of a gravitational-wave source.
