About
Toshimitsu Takahashi is a robotics and human-computer interaction researcher whose work centers on the innovative application of telepresence robotics in childhood education and cross-cultural communication. His most significant contributions emerge from a Japanese Science and Technology Agency (JST) PRESTO project, "Linking Children Across the World Through Telerobotics" (2009–2013), which investigated how child-operated telepresence robots could bridge geographic and linguistic barriers between distant classrooms, most notably between Australia and Japan.
