About
Thomas Prudhomme is a pioneering urological surgeon whose research has fundamentally reshaped kidney transplantation, particularly through the adoption of robotic-assisted techniques. His work centers on minimally-invasive surgery, transplant outcomes, and surgical learning curves, with a specific focus on expanding access to transplantation for high-risk populations. Prudhomme’s landmark multi-institutional study on 3D-image guided robotic-assisted partial nephrectomy (73 citations) demonstrated the precision and safety of this approach, setting a new standard in nephron-sparing surgery.
