Simona Loreti is a leading researcher in neurorehabilitation, with a primary focus on robotic-assisted therapy for upper limb recovery after stroke. Her work addresses a critical gap in post-stroke care: while up to 60% of survivors experience persistent upper limb deficits, only 12% achieve full functional recovery. Loreti’s landmark multicenter, randomized clinical trial (134 citations) demonstrated the efficacy of robotic rehabilitation, moving beyond single-device studies to evaluate more comprehensive, real-world treatment protocols.
