About

N. Thomas is a planetary scientist whose career has been defined by advancing our understanding of Mars through innovative instrumentation and strategic mission planning. His primary research areas include Martian polar science, exobiology, and the development of robotic imaging systems for planetary exploration. Thomas made a foundational contribution to European Mars exploration as a key proponent of the Beagle 2 lander, proposed for ESA’s 2003 Mars Express mission.
