About
M. Della Valle is a leading astrophysicist whose research focuses on classical novae, gamma-ray bursts (GRBs), and the progenitors of Type Ia supernovae. His most cited work, “The Very Short Supersoft X-ray State of the Classical Nova M31N 2007-11a” (2009, 6 citations), investigates the extremely brief supersoft X-ray source (SSS) states—lasting ≤100 days—of classical novae in the bulge of M31.
