About
Li Guo is a leading materials scientist whose research focuses on the design and development of advanced functional hydrogels for next-generation wearable electronics. Her most notable contribution is the creation of highly tough, conductive, and freezing-resistant hydrogels by ingeniously combining starch, polyvinyl alcohol, ionic liquids, and graphene oxide. This work, published in 2023 and already garnering 77 citations, addresses critical challenges in flexible sensor technology—namely, mechanical durability, stable electrical conductivity, and performance under extreme cold. By enabling multimodal sensing capabilities, Guo’s hydrogels can simultaneously detect strain, temperature, and humidity, paving the way for robust, all-weather wearable devices. Her research bridges polymer chemistry and nanotechnology, offering scalable solutions for smart textiles and health-monitoring systems. With her innovative approach to integrating biocompatible and sustainable materials, Li Guo is establishing herself as a rising authority in soft matter engineering, and her work continues to inspire new directions in the field of intelligent, resilient sensors.
