About
Leigh A. Cantrell is a pioneering gynecologic oncologist and surgeon whose research has fundamentally reshaped the standard of care for women with gynecologic cancers, particularly through the adoption of minimally invasive surgery. Her landmark work includes leading the FIRES trial (904 citations), a multicentre prospective cohort study that validated sentinel lymph node biopsy as a safe and effective alternative to full lymphadenectomy for endometrial cancer staging, dramatically reducing surgical morbidity.
