Butler Hine is a pioneering robotics and space exploration researcher whose career spans teleoperation systems, bioinspired engineering, and lunar science missions. Best known for developing the Virtual Environment Vehicle Interface (VEVI) at NASA Ames Research Center, Hine fundamentally advanced how humans remotely operate robots in extreme and distant environments.
