About

Aniket Chitre is a rising innovator at the intersection of robotics, fluid mechanics, and formulation science. His research focuses on automating complex, high-viscosity liquid handling tasks that are traditionally performed by manual trial-and-error. Chitre’s major contributions include the development of two pioneering self-driven robotic systems. The first, an automated pipetting robot for proxy high-throughput viscometry, enables rapid viscosity measurements of Newtonian fluids (1,500–12,000 cP), achieving 11 citations for its practical lab automation impact. His second breakthrough, the “pHbot,” uses physics-informed machine learning to autonomously adjust the pH of viscous industrial formulations—a notoriously difficult challenge involving weak, polyprotic titrants like citric acid. This work, which has garnered 7 and 4 citations across two publications, promises to replace tedious manual titration with intelligent, reproducible robotics. By combining domain knowledge of fluid rheology with data-driven control, Chitre is laying the groundwork for fully autonomous formulation laboratories. His achievements highlight a powerful trend: using physics-aware AI to unlock new frontiers in high-throughput experimentation for the chemical and consumer goods industries.
