About
Liying Yin is a pathologist whose research focuses on the molecular underpinnings of rare and diagnostically challenging renal tumors. Her work has significantly advanced the understanding of neoplasms with overlapping morphologies, particularly those involving TSC1/TSC2 and SETD2 gene alterations. Her most cited study, a 2022 case report, described a unique renal cell carcinoma exhibiting both haemangioblastoma-like features and a leiomyomatous stroma, a rare entity that challenges existing WHO classification boundaries.
