Abstract
This chapter explores how Circular Economy (CE) principles and Industry 5.0 technologies foster more efficient, sustainable, and adaptable logistics and supply chain operations. It focuses on the application of advanced technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and robotics, to optimize processes and improve decision-making. CE practices centered on recycling, reuse, resource efficiency, and innovative packaging are shown to reduce environmental impact, lower costs, and enhance system resilience. Through case studies, the chapter demonstrates the practical benefits of integrating CE principles with Industry 5.0 technologies in transforming logistics operations. While challenges such as technological gaps and the need for standardization remain, these innovations provide a clear pathway toward creating resilient and sustainable logistics systems aligned with global environmental and economic goals.
