Abstract
Drug distribution in hospitals, including efficient and timely delivery of medications, is an essential component of patient care. However, there are many types of patients in these hospitals, especially many young people, many elderly people, and many patients with infectious disorders. And yet nurses and hospital staff cannot carry out their duties in the proper fashion to allow for proper patient care, so many patients do not receive the care they need, and many patients are unable to even participate in their own care. To address these challenges, we introduce MediBot: a Smart Line-Following Medicine Delivery Robot equipped with a rotating hexagonal container for organized dispensing and a dual-notification system that alerts caregivers through both mobile and web interfaces. MediBot ensures timely, autonomous medication delivery while maintaining real-time communication with hospital staff. Some fundamental components are needed for this system, that include the ESP8266 microcontroller, IR sensors, ultrasonic sensors, motor drivers, servo motors, etc.
