Abstract
The increasing demand for healthcare services, coupled with staffing shortages, calls for innovative solutions to streamline administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency. This project explores the deployment of a robotic system designed to handle receptionist duties in medical settings. The system is equipped with advanced features such as face detection, speech recognition, and appointment verification, enabling it to interact with patients, confirm appointments, and notify medical staff. By automating these repetitive tasks, the robot reduces the administrative workload of healthcare personnel, allowing them to allocate more time to patient care. The research focuses on the effectiveness of robotic systems in creating a seamless, professional patient experience while addressing operational challenges in healthcare environments. This work proposes a novel approach to integrating robots in healthcare reception areas, offering significant potential for improving service delivery, patient interaction, and overall efficiency.
