Abstract

Soft Robotic Actuation Functional fluid-based soft robots show considerable promise in wearable, medical, and bio-inspired applications. They can convert various forms of energy—electrical, magnetic, thermal, chemical, and acoustic—into fluidic energy without relying on mechanical moving parts. This capability facilitates the development of more flexible, compact, silent, and untethered soft robotic systems. More details can be found in article number 2502669 by Zhongdong Jiao, Junhui Zhang, and co-workers.
