Abstract

Robotic process automation (RPA) has become a very important tool to optimize repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency in various industries. The Peruvian financial sector has been characterized by a high dependence on information systems and strict regulatory standards; manual access management processes represent an operational challenge. In this article, we present the design and implementation of an RPA system aimed at the automated management of access to various information systems of a financial company. The solution's main objective is to reduce the waiting time of employees to access the necessary systems, allowing them to start their activities immediately and without interruptions. For this, we will use a methodology that includes mapping the systems involved, designing the robot's workflow, and integrating with credential management tools to ensure security. For this, different RPA tools have been analyzed, both open source and commercial, selecting the most appropriate one based on the characteristics of the business environment. The results show a significant reduction in processing times, improvements in the internal user experience, and greater operational efficiency. This study contributes to the literature on applied RPA in the financial sector, highlighting its benefits and challenges in a critical and highly regulated environment.
