Abstract
A combined discrete and continuous simulation model of a robotic assembly process is presented. Motion and handling sequences are simulated as discrete events, whereas vision and decision making processes are simulated as continuous processes. The SIMAN simulation language is used to model the assembly process on an IBM compatible personal computer.
