Abstract
Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) cooperating in underwater task as a team are the forefront technological challenge in marine robotics. The mutual influence of cooperative algorithms and networking communication schemes is discussed, with examples from experimental tests and possibilities and opportunities for future developments.
